New Symptoms Of Coronavirus | COVID-19 Update

Coronovirus is Spreading At An Alarming Rate

The coronavirus epidemic shows no signs of stopping. With 26,000 cases in India and over 2.81 million cases worldwide, a large percentage of reported cases are asymptomatic - which basically means that these infected people are not showing normal coronavirus symptoms.

New symptoms of coronavirus

As more and more cases emerge, new symptoms are being discovered, causing people to worry about rapidly increasing rates and prevalence. In light of this, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has added six new triggers to the list of symptoms,

Here is an updated list of new symptoms:

01- Smell or Taste

Loss of smell or sensation was one of the most prominent atypical symptoms associated with COVID-19. Loss of smell or taste occurs when a person is unable to detect odors and usually occurs when a person has a blocked nose or with increasing age. The symptom was found to be largely present in patients across the UK in late March and it was feared that many patients may have inadvertently spread the infection.

02- Intense Chills

While chills are usually dismissed as a minor problem, it can be a cause for concern if you are suffering from other coronovirus symptoms. Feeling cold for no reason is being characterized as a major symptom of COVID-19, accompanied by acute tremors. The symptom was most noted by a news reporter who broke his teeth after suffering from extreme cold and shaking.

03- Muscle Pain

Many patients, particularly the elderly, are reporting myelagia (pain around muscles and joints) as a frequent symptom of coronovirus. Muscle pain has been found in approximately 14.8% of patients across the US, which is the new center of the disease. Muscle pain occurs when the virus attacks tissues and cells and triggers an inflammatory response. When the body goes through a period of inactivity, stiffness and pain may also occur. However, so far this symptom has been found to a large extent in people suffering from a severe case of the virus and not from infection with infection.

04- Headache

Headache is quite common when suffering from cold. It can also occur when you have a respiratory infection, such as is caused by a novel coronavirus. According to the new findings, a debilitating headache, accompanied by a feeling of constant pain or pressure around the temples and eyelids, has been found to be one of the symptoms of coronovirus infection.

05- Pink Eye

More recently, there was growing concern that coronovirus conjunctivitis (pink eye infection) could occur, meaning that the virus could spread not just from the drops of breath, but also from nasal and eye fluids. A study published in JAMA Ophthalmology noted that a patient was likely to suffer from pink eye.

06- Sore Throat

Not only does the coronovirus lead to a bad coughing spree, one of its unusual symptoms is the presence of a dry cough, which occurs when the irritant (in this case, a virus) attacks the respiratory tract. Sore throat is reported in approximately 60% of COVID-19 positive cases, with dry cough as a characteristic symptom.
